When we know someone, continue to see them for who they truly are, and view them as endlessly valuable - that is gold. This piece is a conceptual painting of a gold portrait. Gold being a representation of that which is most sublime, and a portrait being a visual representation of a person. Inspired by the cubist art movement, the segments of the painting display multiple angles, expressions, and perspectives. Rather than a realistic replication of a face, a gold portrait would display a person fully. All the complexities of an individual in one piece.
